About Me
Júlia Sousa Pedro Medeiros, was born on July 26, 1989 in the parish of Matriz, Ribeira Grande, having started her studies in the local primary school and later in the central school of Ribeira Grande. She continued her studies at the Gaspar Frutuoso school and later at the Ribeira Grande Secondary School, where she completed secondary school. She holds a master’s degree in veterinary medicine, with the dissertation on “Tumors of the adrenal gland” by the Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro University. She is a professional trainer and responsible technique of integrated rodent control. She is also an effective member of the Veterinarians Bar Council.
In professional terms, she has worked as a municipal veterinarian at the Municipality of Ribeira Grande. She is currently a veterinary at the Veterinary Clinic of the Capelas, also assuming functions of professional trainer in several entities. Since October 12, 2021 she is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at CEmpA Centro Empresarial do Açores, S.U., Lda..
In the associative scope she is currently an associate of Centro de Apoio Social e Acolhimento – C.A.S.A. Bernardo Manuel da Silveira Estrela and had been one of the partners responsible for the emergence of the Matriz em Movimento Association. She is currently a member of Ribeira Grande city council (2021/2025).
